$ALON is a meme coin. Pumpfun's dev Alon is just the CTO of it. Alon didn't create it, but he took ownership of the Telegram group that was created for the coin over half a year ago and paid for Dexscreener. Alon says: "In a world with permissionless asset creation, most people will have their own coins. that being said, it's probably best to agree on one for yourself relatively early so people don't get farmed on other ones/engage in PVP".
