About Block Street

What Is Block Street?

Block Street is the first Unified Liquidity Layer for on-chain capital markets. As financial assets such as equities, derivatives, and securities lending move onto blockchain networks, liquidity fragmentation remains one of the primary bottlenecks to scale. Fragmented venues, siloed liquidity, and inconsistent execution quality create inefficiencies that limit broader institutional participation.

Block Street addresses this challenge by building the first unified liquidity infrastructure for tokenized assets, enabling improved execution quality and composability across chains and issuers.

The infrastructure aggregates fragmented liquidity into a cross-issuer execution layer that supports shared settlement, gas-efficient trading, and tighter on-chain spreads. Developers and institutions access this infrastructure through a single API, with multichain support across Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base. This unlocks seamless interoperability between DeFi and real-world assets (RWAs).

What Are the Product-Market Fits?

Block Street has demonstrated significant traction across both institutional and retail segments.

Its institutional-facing API product, Aqua, was built in collaboration with professional trading firms and liquidity providers. Since launch, Aqua has processed over $241 million in cumulative routed volume, reflecting growing demand for aggregated liquidity and optimized execution.

On the retail side, Everst — the retail interface — attracted 1.2 million users since its pilot phase. This early adoption highlights strong interest in accessible tokenized asset trading and capital efficiency tools.

The team is currently focused on scaling infrastructure adoption across both institutional integrations and retail distribution channels.

Who Is Behind Block Street?

Block Street was founded by technologists and quantitative finance professionals with experience across both traditional financial institutions and Web3 infrastructure, positioning the company at the intersection of institutional markets and on-chain capital systems.

Hedy Wang, CEO & Co-Founder, previously led quantitative portfolio strategies at major Wall Street hedge funds and private equity firms, including Apollo and Point72’s Cubist Systematic Strategies. She also served as Risk Lead at Capital One, where she oversaw the development of large-scale financial risk models. Hedy studied Computational Science at Harvard, with cross-registration at MIT, and completed undergraduate exchange and research programs at UCLA and Stanford. Her background in systematic trading, structured finance, and DeFi informs Block Street’s focus on scalable, execution-driven liquidity infrastructure.

Mike Wu, CTO & Co-Founder, is a systems engineer with experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects at Google and Cruise. He holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and was a global winner in ACM competitions. Mike specializes in distributed systems, low-latency architecture, and developer tooling, core components of Block Street’s multichain liquidity infrastructure.

Together, the founding team combines institutional quantitative experience with deep engineering expertise, building infrastructure designed for the next generation of tokenized capital markets. Block Street is supported by venture investors and angel participants with backgrounds across global finance and digital asset markets.
