DebtCoin

Launched in July 2025, DebtCoin (DEBT) is a Solana-based memecoin that uses trading-generated creator fees to make verifiable payments to the U.S. Treasury via Pay.gov. The project aims to raise awareness about national debt and redirect on-chain activity toward a real-world economic issue.

Treasury contributions are documented with official tracking IDs and receipts. No wallet connections or donations are requested from users. The funding mechanism is automated through decentralized exchange activity and creator fee infrastructure.

While currently managed by a pseudonymous founder, all payments and actions are made public to ensure transparency.

DebtCoin does not promise returns and is not affiliated with any government institution. It is a community-led experiment combining blockchain culture with civic engagement.
