About QAIT

The QAIT Association is a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to advancing trusted, decentralized digital infrastructure and enabling autonomous machine economies.

At the core of its role, the Association governs the economic and trust layer of the SEALCOIN ecosystem. It is responsible for the issuance and governance of the QAIT token, which serves as the programmable settlement mechanism for machine-to-machine transactions across decentralized marketplaces.

The Association defines and manages the crypto-economic framework that allows devices and autonomous AI agents to securely exchange services and value. This includes overseeing token distribution, economic policies, and incentive structures that align participants across the ecosystem.

A central component of this model is the Proof-of-Security (PoSy) framework, which links token-based incentives to the secure onboarding and operation of devices. Through this mechanism, the Association supports network security, accountability, and scalable participation.

The QAIT Association also implements identity verification and compliance procedures related to token participation, ensuring that ecosystem activity remains transparent, traceable, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Beyond token governance, the Association promotes the development and adoption of decentralized technologies, with a focus on digital identity, cybersecurity, and trust architectures. It collaborates with industry, academia, and public institutions to support innovation and contribute to a more secure and resilient digital economy.

The Association does not develop or operate the underlying infrastructure. Instead, it provides the governance, economic coordination, and compliance layer that enables machines, devices, and AI agents to operate as trusted participants in decentralized ecosystems.
